Asian Invasion 2016

We saw the opportunity to partake in a fashion show which was a start to show what we can do as entrepreneurs, as designers in the fashion industry. We registered, got called for an interview and got selected. After that process the real work was ahead of us, we had to come up with a collection that had to be catchy. It had to be something that reflects us and was different and unique from the rest. The person in charge of the Suriname fashion week recommended to do something with batik. It was something new different in the Caribbean. Something that would separate us from other designers. What truly happened and became our image.

Every collection we made tells a different story. Our very first collection called “Asian Invasion 2016” was purely inspired by our roots where we use the batik in modern ready to wear designs. There where 12 pieces where each one of us put our ideas in it. Color and pattern inspiration was batik print all the way through focusing on bright colors. The style was focused on all types of women.
